Abstract
The slope-intercept and the convergence model were used for describing the normal-phase retention data for a set of beta-adrenergic blocking drugs obtained on a cyanopropyl column using various proportions of h exane-2-propanol-0.1% propylamine as mobile phase. Moreover, a quantit ative structure-retention relationship with log P as descriptor was de rived. The normal-phase retention data were also found to be rather st rongly correlated with the data obtained for the same beta-adrenergic blocking drugs in reversed phase. This allowed to derive an equation f or the prediction of normal-phase retention data from reversed-phase d ata and vice versa.
