Abstract
The monitoring of glycemic status is considered a cornerstone of diabe tes care. This article reviews current recommendations for routine gly cemia monitoring, with emphasis on practical applications. A descripti on of the newly developed National Glycohemoglobin Standardization Pro gram also is provided.
