Study of collections strains of Entomophthorales from the collection o
f VIZR, as well as monoconidial isolates have been performed. The foll
owing parameters were analyzed: yield of biomass (Bm), content of toxi
c compounds in biomass (By), biological effectivity (A) and technologi
cal characteristics: yield of toxic compounds (Yt), general productivi
ty (P). The ability to produce toxic metabolites while long-term culti
vation on artificial growth media has been revealed for all studied sp
ecies, strains and monoconidial isolates. It was shown that isolates w
ith high productivity were more promissing for future selection of str
ains with the increased ability of toxic production.
