A. Ataev et al., NUCLEAR-MAGNETIC-RESONANCE OF PYRIDINE ADDUCTS OF PARAMAGNETIC SALTS OF ALKYLCYCLOALKYLCARBOXYLIC ACIDS, CHEMICAL PHYSICS REPORTS, 16(4), 1997, pp. 609-619
H-1 and C-13 NMR spectra of paramagnetic Co and Ni salts of cyclopenty
l-(and cyclohexyl-) carboxylic acids extracted by pyridine are recorde
d. Isotropic paramagnetic shifts (IFS) in NMR spectra are measured and
, according to the ratio rule, assignment of specific lines in spectra
of some salt homologs was made, the other homologs show no significan
t distinctions in their NMR spectra. The majority of the lines expecte
d to appear in the spectra were observed at room temperature for proto
ns in the range 3-100 ppm, and for carbon atoms in the range 25-500 pp
m in the appropriate reference scales. The data on NMR IFS and volume
paramagnetic susceptibility obtained from NMR measurements yield for t
he principal values of the g-tensor in cobalt salt (in the axial appro
ximation): g(min) approximate to 1.99 and g(max) approximate to 2.97,
and in nickel salt (in the isotropic approximation) g approximate to 2
.11. The present paper does not present the whole body of experimental
data, which will appear in forthcoming papers.
