Abstract
The inhibition effect of antioxidant 2,4,6-tri-tert-butylphenol on oxi dation of low-density melt of poly(ethylene) is studied at 120, 130, a nd 140 degrees C. The rate-controlling reactions of the inhibition mec hanism and their kinetic parameters are determined at each of the cove red temperatures. Variation of tri-tert-butylphenol efficiency with in creasing temperature is analyzed.
