The behavior of a correlation function P(t) = [Psi(x,t)\Psi(x,0), wher
e P(x,0) is the superposition of excited vibrational states of a molec
ule, calculated for an N-2(+) B-1 Phi(+u) ion is studied. It is shown
that in contrast to the case of the Morse potential, no complete reviv
al occurs. Partial revival is governed by quasi-classical motion of th
e center of mass of the packet.
