C. Boue et al., HIGH-SPATIAL-RESOLUTION OF PERMANENT POLARIZATION DISTRIBUTIONS IN FERROELECTRIC SAMPLES USING A COMBINATION OF PWP AND LIMM MEASUREMENTS, Ferroelectrics, 193(1-4), 1997, pp. 175-188
The LIMM and PWP methods are well known methods which allow for non-de
structive determination of the homogeneity of the permanent polarizati
on distribution inside dielectric samples. In this paper, LIMM and PWP
measurements made on PVDF, ceramic and copolymer samples are reported
and electronic instrumental corrections are presented. We clearly obs
erve a non-polarized area near the surfaces and different spatial dist
ributions of polarization inside the samples. Simulations based on LIM
M and PWP data lead to a better determination of the polarization prof
ile throughout the sample, with increased resolution.
