Abstract
The need for a house rental model in Townsville, Australia is addresse d. Models developed for predicting house rental levels are described. An analytical model is built upon a priori selected variables and para meters of rental levels. Regression models are generated to provide a comparison to the analytical model. Issues in model development and pe rformance evaluation are discussed. A comparison of the models indicat es that the analytical model performs better than the regression model s.
