Complex dielectric constants have been measured on the microcrystallin
e Rb1-x(NH4)(x)H2PO4 powder system in the concentration range, 0.15 le
ss than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.19. Rounded peak in the
real dielectric constant curve and the glassy dispersion at low temper
ature are observed. Dielectric behavior is largely affected by small c
hange of ammonium concentration x near the phase boundary. More asymme
tric dielectric loss behaviors are shown in the ferroelectric phase bo
undary region than in the pure proton glass region. The broad and asym
metric loss dispersion curves observed for x = 0.15 are believed to be
related with the remaining ferroelectric clusters.
