Abstract
The dielectric measurements at 1kHz indicated that the low temperature
side of dielectric loss (D) peak goes to zero rapidly at about 250K i
n TGS single crystal with the decreasing of temperature, which manifes
ts the feature of phase transition. This behavior was not observed in
LATGS singe crystal of monodomain. Therefore, the anomaly in TGS is cl
osely related to the domain walls. To explain this anomaly, a possible
new kind of glass: Pinned-Domain-Wall glass (PDWG) is introduced whic
h is similar to pinned-vortex glass, and the point at which the dielec
tric loss (D) goes to zero is defined as glass transition point (Tg).
The experimental results was explained based upon the model.
