Abstract
A 56-year-old man, working in a food processing factory, developed con tact dermatitis of his hands, forearms, and face after the introductio n of a new herb extract (Rosmanox(R)) made from the leaves of rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis). He reacted to carnosol, the main constituen t of Rosmanox(R). 226 controls were negative. To our knowledge, this i s the Ist reported case of contact dermatitis from carnosol.
