Vv. Parusov et al., EFFECT OF THE CONDITIONS OF HIGH-TEMPERATURE WORKING AND CONTROLLED COOLING ON RECRYSTALLIZATION OF AUSTENITE IN THE STEEL-10, Russian metallurgy. Metally, (1), 1997, pp. 89-91
The effects of the degree and rate of high-temperature (1050 degrees C
) deformation with controlled cooling on austenite grain size in the s
teel 10 (0.08% C) were studied. The phenomenon of anomalous growth of
austenite grains with decreasing temperature of post-deformation isoth
ermal holding was established. An increase in the rate of high-tempera
ture deformation decelerates the development of repeated recrystalliza
tion upon subsequent controlled cooling and accelerates the metadynami
c recrystallization. For ail studied parameters of controlled cooling,
increase in the degree of deformation causes a refinement of austenit
e grains.
