Atomic ordering in the B2 alloys of the Ni-Al-Ti system was studied by
neutron diffraction method, The transition of at least 2% of nickel a
toms to the aluminum sublattice and the transition of at least 2% of a
luminum atoms to the nickel sublattice are possible in the binary inte
rmetallic compound both with stoichiometric and with hyperstoichiometr
ic nickel contents. If a portion of Al atoms is replaced by Ti atoms,
the transition of 2% of nickel atoms to the aluminum sublattice and th
e arrangement of all titanium atoms and 2% of nickel atoms in the alum
inum sublattice are possible.
