A graphical method was used for the analysis of the decomposition of s
upersaturated solid solutions. The surface Z = Z(T, t) describing the
dependence of the Gibbs free energy on the difference between the temp
eratures of equilibrium and nonequilibrium states and on the time of t
he transition to nonequilibrium state (quenching) is constructed in th
e ''T-t-Z'' coordinates. The geometric constructions made in the ''T-t
'' coordinates suggest that the kinetics of the decomposition of super
saturated solid solutions is determined not only by activation energy
Q but also by the pre-exponential factor tau(0).
