Abstract
Kinetics of the interaction in the Fe (substrate) - Ti (thin layer) sy stem at 1050, 1150, and 1250 degrees C for 15 - 20 min was studied. An alysis of the principal regularities of the contact melting and solid- phase diffusion was fulfilled on the basis of the Ti-Fe phase diagram. The kinetic parameters of the formation of the titanium solid solutio n in iron due to solid-phase diffusion were determined.
