Abstract
Mixtures of NO and H-2 diluted with argon, containing 4%H-2 + 2%NO and 4%H-2 + 1%NO, were studied by reflected shock wave techniques in the temperature range 2800-3570 K using OH absorption at 310 nm. The rate coefficient for H + NO --> OH + N obtained by fitting OH absorption pr ofiles is k(1) = 7.1 x 10(14)exp(-28500/T) cm(3) mol(-1)s(-1). (C) 199 7 Elsevier Science B.V.
