Abstract
Within the Keilson-Storer collision model a few first terms of expansi on of orientational correlation functions (OCF) at small times of OCF spectra at high frequencies are calculated for molecules of the asymme tric-top type. In the limit of strong collisions various forms of the diffusion equation (with ''memory'' and with the time-dependent coeffi cient) and Hubbard relations are derived. It is shown that, if collisi ons reverse the direction of the angular momentum (gamma(k) = -1), OCF can be expressed through OCF of free tops, and an alternative Fokker- Planck equation is derived in the gamma(k) = -1 limit which differs fr om the conventional equation at gamma(k) = 1.
