This paper reports the preparation method of PZT-PVDF pyroelectric com
posites and analyzes the surface morphology and microcrystalline struc
ture by SEM and XRD methods respectively. The dielectric and pyroelect
ric properties of the composites with various weight fractions are dis
cussed in the paper also. The dielectric loss behaviour and pyroelectr
ic coefficient of the composite are measured by bridge and direct meth
ods respectively. The value of p is 14nC/cm(2) degrees C at 100 degree
s C.
