EXAMINATION OF POINT GROUP SYMMETRIES OF NON-FERROELASTIC DOMAIN-WALLS

We recall how the symmetry properties of planar walls can be derived a nd how the orientational dependences of domain wall symmetry are relat ed to simple crystal forms used in crystal morphology. We present a sa mple page of tables that contain symmetry properties of all crystallog raphically different non-ferroelastic domain walls in continuum descri ption and on simple examples demonstrate how they can be used in discu ssing tensor properties of non-ferroelastic domain walls.
