Second harmonic generation (SHG) signals in Hg1-xPbxBa2Can-1CunO2n+2+d
elta single crystals were measured as a function of domain dimensions,
experimental geometry, mechanical and magnetic field intensities. It
was revealed that the domain dimensions affect strongly the nonlinear
optical susceptibilities by ensuring phase matching conditions. We hav
e found that the output SHG signal is independent of light polarizatio
n directions. An influence of applied magnetic or mechanical field on
the SHG signals was observed depending on the domain wall thickness.
