Ba1-xSrxTiO3(r=0, 0.3, 0.5 and 0.7) were synthesized by the SAG method
. XRD revealed a cubic structure at room temperature. From the tempera
ture dependence of the dielectric permittivity, the Curie temperature
was measured. Although it decreases linearly with increasing x, it is
obviously lower than that of the ceramics made by traditional method.
The lowering of Curie temperature and disappearance of the trigonal-or
thorhombic and orthorhombic-tetragonal phase transitions might be caus
ed by the impurity Fe3+ and the excess of Ba at the grain surface.
