Neem cake (Azadirachta indica) and a biocontrol fungus, Trichoderma ha
rzianum, were evaluated either singly or in combination for the manage
ment of Meloidogyne incognita on tomato. Significant increase in plant
growth and reduction in root galling and final population of M. incog
nita were observed in tomato seedlings transplanted in neem cake-amend
ed soil incorporated with T. harzianum. Increase in colonization of T.
harzianum on roots of tomato was also observed in the above treatment
s which indicated favourable effects of neem cake amendment on the gro
wth of T. harzianum.
