Abstract
Background: Serum concentrations of CEA and Cyfra were compared in pat ients with mesothelioma. Materials and Methods: Serum levels of patien ts were analysed for prognosis of survival and follow up of disease. R esults: Cyfra 21-1 and TPA have significant prognostic value for survi val. Conclusion: Assays measuring CK19 fragments seem to be good marke rs in the management of patients with malignant mesothelioma.
