Abstract
The synthesis of the oligosaccharides 6-O-alpha-mannosyltrehalose, 6-O -alpha-galactosyltrehalose, 6-O-alpha-galactosyltrehalose, and 6-O-g-a lpha-mannosylsucrose, using appropriate glycosidases was optimized usi ng response surface methodology.(1) An empirical mathematical model wa s constructed to predict the amount of product formed under various co nditions of pH, substrate concentration, and donor:acceptor ratio.
