Abstract
The emulsifier-free emulsion polymerization of vinyl acetate was carri ed out in the absence or in the presence of some electrolytes such as sodium chloride, calcium chloride, aluminum chloride, sodium sulphate, and ammonium phosphate at 50 degrees C using potassium persulphate-so dium bisulphite as a redox initiation system. The viscosity average mo lecular weights of the polymers obtained were also determined. (C) 199 7 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
