Abstract
The reaction of the soluble MoO3 analogue [Mo6O19](2-) with Ph3P=NCH2P h replicates key features of heterogeneous ammoxidation chemistry by p roducing moderate yields of PhC=N through the proposed intermediacy of the benzylimido hexamolybdate complex [Mo6O18(NCH2Ph)](2-).
