Abstract
The present paper discusses structural transformation of CdS thin film s during annealing and the consequent changes in their optical propert ies. CdS thin films are grown by the chemical bath deposition techniqu e. The optical band gap is found to reduce on annealing and the change is attributed to the structural transformation of CdS from cubic to h exagonal phase.
