Polycrystalline samples of RPdGe (R=Ce, Pr and Tb) compounds were stud
ied by the magnetic and powder neutron diffraction experiments. All co
mpounds exhibit the orthorhombic CeCu2-type of crystal structure. in C
ePdGe, below T-N = 3.4 K, a sine modulated magnetic ordering with the
propagation vector k=(0.42,0,0) has been observed at 2 K. For PrPdGe,
a magnetic ordering, was not detected down to 2 K. In the case of TbPd
Ge, magnetic ordering has been observed below 35 K. The magnetic momen
ts equal to 8.6(1) mu(B) at 2 K, form a noncolinear antiferromagnetic
structure, and at 20 K they change their direction. (C) 1997 Elsevier
