The present study focuses on the various attributions of managerial wo
rk. Keeping in mind India's unique cultural background, the Bankers' A
ttribution Profile was developed as a measuring instrument to carry ou
t the research. The present study is an effort to consolidate the majo
r findings. It also aims at developing an insight into the locus of co
ntrol phenomenon involving adult Indians. The present study highlights
several action strategies in the perspective of work organisations. I
t shows that organisational members are required to attribute more of
internal (ability and effort) and less of nature of task as the cause
of their behavioural outcomes.
