B. Averick et al., NUMERICAL OPTIMIZATION AT THE CENTER-FOR-RESEARCH-ON-PARALLEL-COMPUTATION, The international journal of supercomputer applications and high performance computing, 8(2), 1994, pp. 143-153
Research in optimization at the CRPC covers a broad range of topics in
linear and nonlinear Programming, parameter identification for ordina
ry and partial differential equations, and multidisciplinary design op
timization. Common to all this research is an application-driven appro
ach and an effort to design algorithms to be effective in realistic pa
rallel computing environments. In addition, the optimization group is
jointly involved with the CRPC compiler group in the development of an
automatic differentiation tool for Fortran programs.
