Abstract
A purified preparation of trypsin and chymotrypsin inhibitors from cab bage foliage showed antifungal activity in vitro. The inhibitors suppr essed spore germination and germ tube elongation of two species of phy topathogenic fungi but had no effect on a fungus that specifically att acks cabbage. Microscopic examination indicated that the inhibitors ca used leakage of the intracellular contents from the susceptible specie s of fungi.
