Abstract
Cl- pump activity resides in the basolateral membrane (BLM). 93-(3-cho lamedopropyl [dimethylammonic]-1-propane sulfonate) (CHAPS) facilitate s both extraction and reconstitution of the Cl- pump into proteoliposo mes. Proteoliposomal Cl- pump activity was inhibited by orthovanadate. DCCD had no effect on the reconstituted proteoliposomal Cl- pump.
