Gv. Kudryavtseva et al., THE ELEMENTS OF RELIABILITY THEORY IN THE MATHEMATIC ANALYSIS OF HALF-LIFETIMES OF ENZYMATIC PROTEINS, Biofizika, 42(4), 1997, pp. 840-843
A definition of a new molecular-biological category - ''enzymic functi
onal system'' is given. The mechanisms of reliability of its functioni
ng in vivo were analyzed. The half-lifetime, decay rate constants and
the rate of synthesis for a number of enzymic proteins were quantified
. The vector of functional activity of the enzymic system is composed
of three constituents: a static quantity t(1/2), half-lifetime and two
dynamic quantities, K-s and K-d, the rate constants of synthesis and
decay. It is K-s and K-d determine the reliability profile of the enzy
mic functional system and its quality.
