For description of electric processes in hyphae growth of Neurospora c
rassa we construct a mathematical model where the hyphae is considered
as a one-dimentional electric cable with non-uniform logitudinal dist
ribution of electric current contributors representing the activity of
protonic pumps. Using this model we obtain profiles of pump and inwar
d membrane current densities along the hyphae qualitatively coincident
with the results of electrophysiologic experiments.
