Sa. Karova et al., DISPERSITY OF SUPERCONCENTRATED EMULSIONS ACCORDING TO THE SPECTROSCOPY OF DYNAMIC LIGHT-SCATTERING, Colloid journal of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 56(1), 1994, pp. 42-46
The disperse composition of highly concentrated oil-in-water emulsions
was studied using dynamic light scattering. An expression connecting
the mean size of the droplets of low-molecular siloxane polymer with t
he power of the mechanical action and the surface activity of the emul
sifier used was obtained. The emulsifying ability of non-ionic and ani
onic emulsifiers was compared. The surface activity of anionic potassi
um dresinate was shown to depend on pH of the aqueous phase.
