Abstract
We introduce a new definition of solution for the nonlinear monotone e lliptic problem -div(a(x, del u)) = mu in Omega, u = 0 on partial deri vative Omega, where mu is a Radon measure with bounded variation on Om ega. We prove the existence of such a solution, a stability result, an d partial uniqueness results.
