This paper explores the field of organizational politics and its appli
cation to worker attributions for co-worker performance outcomes. The
purpose of this paper is to suggest that worker awareness of political
behaviors among their co-workers may provide additional informational
cues for the attributions they form for co-worker success/failure. It
is proposed in this paper that individuals maintain an orientation to
ward political activity, and that orientation is a source of informati
on for the determination of cause.
