The IR spectra of gaseous and the Raman spectra of liquid tetrakis(dia
lkylamido)titanium, Ti(NR2)4 (R = CH3 or C2H5), have been measured and
an assignment has been made according to S4 symmetry for the molecule
and local C2 symmetry for the -NR, group. Universal force field calcu
lations have been performed which confirm the local C2 symmetry for th
e -N(C2H5)2 group.
