V. Conte et al., LIQUID-PHASE OXIDATION REACTIONS BY PEROXIDES IN THE PRESENCE OF VANADIUM COMPLEXES, Applied catalysis. A, General, 157(1-2), 1997, pp. 335-361
The reaction of vanadium (V) derivatives with hydrogen peroxide or wit
h alkyl hydroperoxides leads to peroxovanadium complexes which are eff
ective and selective oxidants of organic and inorganic substrates eith
er under stoichiometric or catalytic conditions. Examples of synthetic
ally significant oxidations of various classes of organic compounds ar
e reported together with details on the commonly accepted mechanisms o
perating. When possible a comparison is made between peroxovanadium co
mplexes of other d(0) metal derivative, e.g. Ti(IV), Mo(VI) and W(VI).
