The binary excess Gibbs energies and excess enthalpies of liquid mixtu
res of alkanols and hydrocarbons, acetone, methyl acetate, acetonitril
e, organic acid, etc., are simultaneously correlated with a new associ
ation model whose equilibrium constants are defined in terms of the mo
dified segment fractions of chemical species. The model predicts terna
ry vapor-liquid, liquid-liquid equilibria and excess molar enthalpies
