Abstract
Phyllophaga (Phyllophaga) chinanteca, a new species of Melolonthidae, is described from the cloud forest of Oaxaca, Mexico. It is compared t o Phyllophaga godmani (Bates) and to the ''rugipennis'' species group. Phyllophaga godmani is redescribed from males and females, and the sc lerotized genital structures of both sexes are illustrated.
