Abstract
Magnetic dipole transition matrix elements in superdeformed nuclei are calculated based on an axially deformed Nilsson model. Several single -particle levels become the candidates to be assigned for the experime ntal evidence of the superdeformed band in Tl-193. Th, comparison betw een the g(K) values with the renormalized g(K)' values indicates that the effect of the unique-parity level cannot be neglected in superdefo rmation.
