The influence of Mo substitution of Fe on the crystallization behaviou
r, on the nanocrystalline phase and on the magnetic properties of Fe-S
i-B-Cu-Nb alloys is studied. Differential scanning calorimetry, X-ray
diffraction, thermogravimetry and magnetic measurements have been used
. Mo additions produce an enhancement of the thermal stability of the
amorphous alloy against nanocrystallization, a decrease in the tempera
ture range in which the nanophase exists and a significant lowering of
the Curie temperature of both as-cast amorphous alloy and the final b
oride phase.
