Abstract
FACTS is an acronym which stands for Flexible AC Transmission System. FACTS is an evolving technology-based solution envisioned to help the utility industry to deal with changes in the power delivery business. This paper presents results of Task Force 3 of the IEEE's FACTS Workin g Group of the DC and FACTS Subcommittee which had the assignment to e stablish appropriate definitions of FACTS-related terminology. These d efinitions will be included in the IEEE Dictionary.
