Abstract
The SEM study of a dripstone from Clamouse cave demonstrates the role of bacteria in the production as well as in the structuration of its c onstituting carbonate crystalline assemblages. Notably, the presence o f bacterial gliding filaments may explain the non-geotropic forms of e ccentric dripstones.
