Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common problem in men as they age. Unfo rtunately, it is frequently not addressed by health care providers, ED may be due to vascular disease, autonomic dysfunction, medication sid e effects or psychological factors. The evaluation is straightforward and the etiology can be easily determined in most patients. Treatment options include vacuum constriction devices, injection of vasoactive d rugs, intraurethral vasoactive drugs and surgery. Patient and spouse s atisfaction with treatment is high.
