Abstract
GDP 4,6-dideoxy-beta-L-xylohexopyranose (GDP-4-deoxyfucose, 4) was syn thesized from dibenzyl benzoyl-4,6-dideoxy-4-io-do-beta-L-glucopyranos yl) phosphate (1) by coupling with guanosine monophosphomorpholidate e ither directly after hydrogenation or after subsequent deesterificatio n.
