Abstract
Experiments have revealed that polycrystals of Ni3Al exhibit the Bausc hinger effect and that boron lessens its magnitude. The attendant back stress is attributed to internal stresses generated by the piling up of dislocations at grain boundaries. The reduction is attributed to th e enhancement of slip transmission.
