Mass hierarchy of quark generations and their mixing must inevitably r
esult from the simultaneous dynamical breakdown of chiral and flavor s
ymmetries. These two phenomena, which are independent in the Standard
Model and in many generalizations of this model, come to be related in
the proposed approach, since they have a common dynamical origin. Owi
ng to this reason, basic features of these dynamics can be guessed on
the basis of the observed properties of the mass hierarchy and the wea
k-mixing matrix.
