Abstract
The near-threshold expansion of the nn amplitude is developed by using the crossing-covariant independent variables. Independent threshold p arameters entering into the real part of the amplitude in a manifestly Lorentz invariant way are free from the restrictions of isotopic and crossing symmetries. The parameters of the expansion of the imaginary part are recovered by iterating the perturbative unitarity relations.
